Abstract

This chapter concludes this work by summarising the contents of Chaps. 2 , 3 and 4 . It highlights the most salient implications for addressing compulsive buying and problematic gambling, focusing particularly on strategies aimed at protecting consumers and limiting firms’ actions. The chapter concludes by identifying areas for future inquiry that may enhance our understanding of how marketing actions and dysfunctional behaviours can, at times, intertwine.
