Abstract

Digitalization is an integral part of any industry, including agriculture. Digital solutions are actively penetrating industries and segments of agriculture. The effectiveness of agribusiness involves the use of innovative technologies. Today, there is a need for growth in food security and food independence in the agricultural market. It is defined in the Food Security Doctrine and implies increased requirements for monitoring food security in all aspects, especially regarding land. The agricultural land area (arable land) is one of the key indicators for the land market. The use of reported data as a source for forecasting has a number of limitations due to insufficient timely detailing. Using the Internet of Things to monitor agricultural land (arable land) and predict food security will overcome these shortcomings. The advent of digital capabilities and digital processing makes it possible to obtain verified information about the land factor of production and its most efficient use. Digital technologies and the Internet of things reduce the use of manual labor in agriculture. Moreover, they increase agricultural production efficiency and become determining factors in increasing the productivity of agricultural organizations.
