Abstract

Digitalization and digital transformation of the economy in Russia and around the world affect all spheres of human activity, including personal life, work, and reproduction processes of people. On the one hand, information technologies and gadgets simplify production operations and make life and work more comfortable. On the other hand, the number of human labor consumed in production is continuously decreasing. This trend is primarily for developed countries, faster introducing new technologies into production that increase labor productivity more quickly. Developing countries, lagging in technological development, continue to specialize in low-profit and low-productivity industries and economic activities. However, it does not prevent the penetration of digital technologies into all life spheres of developing countries. Russia, in terms of digitalization and digital transformation of the economy, unfortunately, demonstrates precisely the trends typical for developing countries. This is due to the fact that in economic policy, Russia relies rather not on new technological production but assembly activities from imported units. Nowadays, the flow of talent and the import of technologies and high-tech products for labor productivity improvement are trends for the Russian agro-industrial complex. The methodology of the study is based on general methods of scientific research (analysis, synthesis, and comparison), as well as a special method of institutional analysis.
