Abstract

In the recent-years, the agri-sectors all over the world have undergone with considerable transformations and changes the day-to-day work-activities. Further, there has been a common perception of large-farms to be more prosperous in adapting as compared to the family-run small-farms. Moreover, intensification of farm-related practices has occurred with regard to the reduced profits and returns in certain farming, and has diminished the controllable sense in exercising the farm-work and has leaded into diversification of farm-activities. However, being the growing industrial-regulation, the agri-sector’s mechanization has significantly influenced in the qualitative transformation of day-to-day work-activities of farmers and the whole farming community around the globe. Farming sector is day by day challenging sector. Innovation of new equipments, advancement of technology, genetically innovated seeds, new fertilizer, orgarnic and sustainable farming has changed the farming sector. Although everything changed in farming sector, but the farmers condition remains unchanged all over the world. Farmers has to do hard work to enhance the productivity, they have to do heavy repetitive work in extreme climate, in heavy rain, in hot weather etc. For the safety of farmers personal protective equipment is very important. To make the working procedure easy, safe and modern equipments are essential. So in this book an effort is taken to write about occupational health and safety problems of farmers and discuss about some innovative equipments to measure and reduce their physical and mental burden with the help of IoT and AI. Simultaneously a small step is taken to show food safety with IoT technique.
