Abstract

Jordan | Abdulla Radaideh is a mechanical engineer who started his career at the InterContinental Aqaba Resort in 2008. He has been with IHG [InterContinental Hotel Group] from the junior level to becoming a part of the executive committee. In 2013, he was nominated by the Ministry of Environment & Tourism and by the Jordan Ecolabel operators to speak at the ‘Ecolabels for the Tourist Accommodation Service in the Mediterranean’ program about ecolabels and how the tourism industry can be a part of it. He has worked towards implementing Green Engage, Green Key, Blue Flag and Eco-school programs. InterContinental Aqaba Resort was the first beach in the Middle East to earn the Blue Flag and Green Key certification in 2010 and has continued to renew these certifications for the last 11 years.
