Abstract

Portugal | Daniel Frey has 20 years of experience with reputed international hotel chains working on operational and corporate levels, which have taken him around the world. He studied at the Lausanne Hotel School and furthered his studies at Harvard Business School (AMP159). In 2018, he completed the Business Sustainability Management course with CISL (University of Cambridge, Institute for Sustainability Leadership). His recent work includes destination work at different levels (strategy & concept definition, working with government agencies in aligning policy, stakeholder engagement & implementation of destination certification framework). Daniel offers strategic advice, consultancy, training and coaching to various tourism players and project consultancy in sustainable design and construction of buildings. He is also an independent auditor for reputed and officially recognized certifications for the tourism industry—destinations, hotels and other tourism operators. He has helped conceive, establish and implement the vision and sustainability strategy for tourism players aligned with UNSDGs.
