Abstract

Connectivity will be virtually comprehensive by 2030. Accordingly, the future priorities of a connected world will concentrate on security, trust, and the integrity of data. The human qualities of creativity, the ability to improvise and cooperate, and resourcefulness open up new possibilities to engage and participate in value creation processes. Not only could new technologies create the need for different goods and services; they could also take over repetitive, physically demanding, and dangerous work. This would allow people to dedicate their time to other endeavors, such as pursuing their interests and doing things that are meaningful to them. Leadership principles will be much affected by the development of future HMI. Technological development can lead to significant increases in productivity, but it will depend on how these gains are distributed between economic and social groups. Even in the year 2030, people will still be superior to machines and use them as tools, not the other way around. Therefore, the tools will develop depending on the goals of the people. If they are aimed at enforcing the superiority of the respective system, the relationship between man and machine in both countries will show considerable differences and will no longer be compatible, but even contrary to each other.
