Abstract

The interest in the gains from trade goes a long way back but has been recently rekindled for two main reasons. There is a strong backlash against globalization that has led to a resurgence of protectionism across the world. Academically, a recent wave of “new” trade models has brought the estimation of the gains from trade to the frontier of research.
