Abstract

As Section 4, this Chapter and Chap. 20 draw the evidence and arguments of the Book together to show the way forward to a Humanity-centered New Economics for The Future. As this chapter demonstrates in high relief, what we must deal with is the systemic destructiveness to both our Humanity and our Planet that has resulted from Self-Interest-Based Economics over more than two centuries of industrialization. At heart is the question, “Where Did Our Humanity Go?” Particular attention is paid also to how the new context for global society—the COVID Pandemic—changes things, both now and for the future. We stand on a precipice looking down at a very uncertain future. The LINK from this chapter into the final Chap. 20 is the final question, “What can save us?”.
