Abstract

It is obvious that large industrial enterprises have the greatest potential to reduce energy costs. To solve the problems of energy conservation facing organizations that consume energy resources, the introduction of management principles and a system based on these principles, which is aimed at ensuring the rational use of energy resources and optimizing existing business processes, has become widespread. Over the past few decades, there has been a significant shortage of investment in the infrastructure of energy facilities in the economy, industrial enterprises, including metallurgical plants. At the same time, there is a simultaneous increase in the volume of energy consumption and, as a result, an increase in the load on communication systems, which seriously hinder the development of the economy. In this regard, it is not surprising that attention is paid to the problems of energy conservation at the highest level today. Modern metallurgical production is one of the most developing and, at the same time, energy-consuming types of manufacturing industry. That is why the topic of research and practical application of tools for managing the energy efficiency of metallurgical enterprises is very relevant. Improving energy efficiency and developing a management system allows metallurgical companies to increase their competitiveness in the international product market and use their own intellectual potential in this process. The most relevant issues in the implementation of the energy efficiency management mechanism include optimization of planning and competent consumption of energy resources, involvement of employees of enterprises in the process of saving, training and improving the energy saving culture of employees, disclosure of their innovative potential for developing and promoting ideas on energy efficiency of production processes.
