Business in Emerging Markets: The Case of Morocco

Abstract

Business is becoming increasingly global. In an effort to broaden students’ understanding of how business in conducted in different institutional environments and across cultures, I developed a course titled “Business in Emerging Markets” that uses Morocco as a case study for Virginia Wesleyan University students. In this paper, I describe the process I went through to develop the course and select a study abroad provider. I also share information regarding the course layout, reading list, the itinerary, and cost per student.
