Abstract

The development of digital banking services in Indonesia has increased significantly in line with advances in information technology, bringing various positive impacts. However, this progress is accompanied by a considerable rise in the risks and threats of cyberattacks targeting customers. This study aims to analyze the impact of information security awareness and security habits on perceived cyberattack threats faced by Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Customers. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, through the distribution of questionnaires to 160 respondents who are BRI customers aged between 30 and 70 years. The findings indicate that: (1) information security awareness has a positive and significant influence on perceived cyberattack threats; (2) security habits have a negative but insignificant influence; and (3) simultaneously, both independent variables have a positive and significant influence on perceived cyberattack threats. These results underscore the urgency of enhancing comprehensive and sustainable digital security literacy and education among users of digital banking services. Cyber risk mitigation efforts should focus on strengthening individual awareness of potential threats as a strategic step in fostering more effective protective behavior in the digital era.
