Factors Influencing the Intention to Search for Part-time Job among Vietnamese Youth: The Mediating Role of Job-Search Self-Efficacy

Abstract

This study assesses the factors affecting the intention to search for a part-time job among Vietnamese youth. The mediating role of Job-search Self-Efficacy is also investigated. The authors collected 399 responses from Vietnamese students actively seeking part-time jobs. This paper employed a quantitative approach by conducting Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The findings indicate that extroversion, job search, social support, and core self-evaluation indirectly impact students’ job search intentions and that job search self-efficacy mediates this relationship.
