Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the potential of market levies in Solok Regency. This analysis useful to determine the actual amount of market levies in Solok Regency because target dan realization of market levies still fluctuated in the last five years. Realization of market levies in Solok Regency is still low even though there are 25 traditional markets that must remit their market levies to the local government. This research used both primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained by calculating the actual number of potential market levies, while secondary data is used as a comparison between predetermined targets and actual potential. The result showed that the potential of market levies exceeds the target. The results of this research can be used as input for local governments in setting the target of market levies in Solok Regency, in order to increase their regional original revenue.
