Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the relationship between per- formance and innovative behavior and competitive advantage in millennial gen- eration businesses in Padang City. All of Padang City’s coffee shops, café & restaurants make up the study’s population of millennial business owners. The criteria for sampling were as follows: (1) the business owner belongs to the gen- eration born between 1995 and 2010; (2) the business age is between 1 and 10 years; and (3) the business has a profit of more than Rp. 10,000,000/year, mak- ing the sample for this study comprised of 270 coffee shops, café & restaurant. After distributing the surveys, the research data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. According to the study’s findings, competitive advantage in the coffee shop, café, and restaurant industries in Padang City was influenced by performance and innovative behavior.
