Validity and Practicality of Mobile Learning-Based Multimedia in Vocational Financial Accounting Learning

Abstract

The world of education has been affected by the digitalization era in the 4.0 revolution. The learning media that have been used for financial accounting for SMK have not varied, learning resources are limited to textbooks. Developing multimedia is one solution to overcome this problem. Mobile learning is one of the multimedia methods used in learning anytime and anywhere. The study was purposed to determine the validity and practicality of mobile learning-based multimedia in vocational accounting learning. The development of mobile learning-based multimedia uses a 4-D model consisting of: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop and (4) disseminate. Validity and practicality sheets is used for the research instrument. The research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Mobile learning-based multimedia was validated by 2 material experts and 2 media experts. Practicality tests were carried out on 2 accounting teachers and 30 class XI students at SMKN 2 Gunung Talang. The validity scores for material experts and media experts were 81.82% each. and 95.51% with a very valid validity category. Practicality test scores by teachers and students are 87 and 85.52 with an excessive practicality category. So it can be briefly summarized that mobile learning-based multimedia is valid and practical in financial accounting subjects.
