Abstract

In the increasingly competitive business landscape, the quality of human resources is a key factor in an organization’s success. One challenge that companies face in maintaining consistent business performance is ensuring strong employee performance. Factors such as competence, motivation, and job satisfaction have a significant impact on employee outcomes. This study aims to evaluate how these three elements influence job performance to achieve optimal and sustainable results. Understanding these relationships helps companies enhance employee potential effectively in the long term. The research involved sending a Google Forms survey to 41 employees of XYZ Bank in Tanjungpinang. The survey included 20 questions, each reflecting different variables and their indicators. The collected data were analyzed using SmartPLS version 4, revealing that competence and motivation do not significantly impact job performance, whereas job satisfaction has a positive effect at XYZ Bank in Tanjungpinang. The findings may be influenced by certain research limitations, such as constraints related to time, budget, and resources, which resulted in a limited sample. This study specifically targeted permanent employees of XYZ Bank in Tanjungpinang, examining competence, motivation, and job satisfaction as independent variables that influence the dependent variable, employee performance.
