The Effectiveness of Employee Performance Mutations in New Provinces. Case Study of BPSDM Southwest Papua Province

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of employee transfers in enhancing performance within newly established provinces. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through key informant interviews, field observations at BPSDM Southwest Papua, and document analysis. The findings indicate that employee transfers contribute to improved performance, particularly in terms of adaptation to new responsibilities and increased productivity. However, challenges such as inadequate training and difficulties in adjusting to new work environments hinder optimal performance. The study concludes that while employee transfers have a positive impact on performance effectiveness, further improvements in supporting programs—such as structured training and orientation programs—are necessary to maximize outcomes.
