Strengthening Good Governance through Public Service Optimization: Case Study of the Labor and Transmigration Department in South Sulawesi Province

The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze the factors that influence the optimization of public services, the right strategy to optimize public services in realizing good governance, and the real role of the South Sulawesi Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office in efforts to transparency of job vacancy information in South Sulawesi. The author uses a qualitative research approach because the author wants to deeply understand the experiences and phenomena that exist in society and stakeholders related to the optimization of public services in order to realize good governance. The data collection techniques used were observation to directly observe the public service process and the interaction between officers and the public, interviews with authorized officials and some members of the public to explore more in-depth information, and document review such as laws and regulations, public policies, and performance reports. The results of this study show that factors such as the quality of human resources, budget availability, political support, and community participation greatly affect the quality of public services. In addition to these factors, other factors such as increasing employee capacity, utilizing information technology, and strengthening community participation can improve the quality of public services in realizing good governance.
