NGO Strategies in Inclusive Development in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategies employed by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in promoting inclusive development in Indonesia. Utilizing a literature review method, the research analyzes various academic sources and relevant NGO reports. The findings indicate that NGOs play a crucial role in inclusive development through four key strategies. First, service provision, encompassing education, infrastructure, and healthcare for marginalized groups. Second, collaboration, where NGOs build partnerships with various sectors, including government and private entities, to expand the reach and impact of inclusive programs. Third, advocacy, focusing on protecting the rights of marginalized groups and promoting equal access and participation in development. Lastly, capacity building, where NGOs provide training and empowerment to marginalized groups to enhance their capacity and self-reliance. This study highlights that these strategies significantly contribute to fostering more inclusive development in Indonesia.
