Abstract

The harvesting season in Kabupaten Pinrang significantly impacts energy usage in agricultural processing, especially in the context of green energy adoption. This study aims to analyze the influence of the harvest season on the utilization of green energy for agricultural product processing in Kabupaten Pinrang, with a particular focus on the operational area of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Pekkabata. Using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, this research examines seasonal fluctuations in energy demand and explores the potential of renewable energy sources, such as solar and biomass, to meet these demands. The results indicate that harvest season variations play a crucial role in determining the efficiency and practicality of green energy implementation. Solar energy, with its variable output, aligns with peak processing times during sunny seasons, while biomass energy from agricultural waste provides a consistent alternative throughout the year. The study concludes that integrating green energy solutions in agricultural processing can optimize energy use, reduce environmental impact, and enhance the sustainability of the agricultural sector in Kabupaten Pinrang.
