Abstract

Sustainable finance is significant in mitigating the negative impacts of climate modification and promoting the evolution to a sustainable green economy. This study aims to examine sustainable finance strategies implemented by the global financial sector in addressing increasingly pressing environmental challenges. The research employs a qualitative approach using secondary data derived from annual reports of financial institutions, regulatory policies, and relevant literature studies. Through qualitative analysis, the study explores the application of various sustainable finance strategies, the challenges encountered, and potential future developments. The results show that, despite the global financial sector’s strong commitment to sustainability, inadequate regulations and gaps in knowledge among stakeholders continue to obstruct practical implementation. Additionally, the results highlight the Aimportance of synergy between financial sector players, regulators, and policymakers to overcome these barriers and accelerate the transition to a greener economy. This study provides valuable insights for the financial sector and policymakers in formulating more effective strategies to support the global sustainability agenda.
