Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of family entrepreneurship literacy education on the success of SMEs in Makassar City and examine the moderating roles of human capital and social capital in this relationship. Entrepreneurship literacy education plays an important role in equipping SME actors with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage and grow their businesses, including the implementation of environmentally friendly business practices. This research employs a quantitative approach, involving 700 respondents who are SME actors in Makassar City. Data were obtained through a survey using questionnaires distributed to the sample respondents. The analysis was conducted using inferential statistical methods through the SMARTPLS version 3.0 software, testing hypotheses and examining moderation effects. Validity and reliability tests were performed as part of data quality assessment. The results show that the variables of family entrepreneurship education (X), human capital (Y1), and social capital (Y2) positively influence the success of SMEs (Z). These findings have significant implications for the development of a green economy, as improving entrepreneurship education and strengthening human and social capital can encourage SMEs to adopt sustainable and environmentally friendly business practices, contributing to environmental preservation and local economic sustainability.
