Abstract

As a further development form of the financial system, green finance aims to guide the flow of funds to green enterprises through a variety of innovative tools to achieve industrial layout, and then accelerate the region to achieve sustainable development. In this context, deeply explore how green finance and innovation affect regional sustainable development, and put forward relevant policy recommendations, which has important strategic significance for improving the green financial system and promoting the transformation of sustainable development. Building on this foundation, the study opts for data from 30 provinces (including municipalities and autonomous regions) of China, ranging from 2012 to 2023. It employs the entropy method and the unexpected output-super efficiency SBM model to assess the overall development level and the sustainability efficiency of green finance in each area, thereby empirically examining the influence of green finance on sustainable development.
