Abstract

This study aims to explore the ethical considerations and public perception surrounding the application of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) in design, while promoting the sustainable development and integration of technology with the humanities. An online questionnaire using the QuestionPro platform was administered to design professionals, focusing on key issues such as the originality of AIGC design, copyright protection, and factors influencing public acceptance. Data analysis was conducted using NVivo software. The results indicate that a majority of respondents believe that the originality of AI-generated outputs is manifested in various aspects. Furthermore, current copyright protections are deemed insufficient, and public acceptance is influenced by the quality of design. The study recommends that designers should harmonize their own creative inspiration with AI, establish a robust legal framework, enhance design quality, transparency, and environmental sustainability, and balance the relationship between technology and ethics to foster the healthy development of AIGC design.
