Abstract

The new quality productivity was first proposed in September 2023 and was subsequently officially written into the central documents. In 2024, the new quality of productivity was written into the government work report for the first time, and the relevant decisions of the Central Economic Work Conference and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee also emphasized the importance of developing new quality productivity and put forward corresponding policy measures. Therefore, this paper discusses the important role of new-quality productivity in promoting high-quality economic development. As an innovation-led, high-tech, high-efficiency, and high-quality advanced productive force, the new quality productivity has promoted the improvement of total factor productivity, promoted the optimization of economic structure and industrial upgrading, and injected strong impetus into the improvement and enhancement of economic quality through scientific and technological innovation, industrial upgrading, system reform, and talent support. This paper analyzes the connotation, formation mechanism, and impact of new quality productivity on the national economy, and puts forward strategies and suggestions for promoting the improvement and enhancement of economic quality with new quality productivity.
