Abstract

Under the background of global economy, small and medium-sized enterprises, as activists of market economy, are facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. In order to enhance market competitiveness and expand business territory, many small and medium-sized enterprises have embarked on the road of diversification strategy. This strategy aims to optimize the allocation of resources, disperse business risks and find new growth points through cross-domain or cross-industry business expansion. However, diversification strategy is not a smooth road, it is like a double-edged sword, which brings opportunities and also hides huge financial risks. Therefore, it is of great significance to deeply analyze the financial risks of small and medium-sized enterprises from the perspective of diversification strategy and put forward practical preventive countermeasures for promoting the healthy and stable development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
