TMT Stability, Executives’ Green Experience and Corporate Green Innovation Performance

Abstract

Although considerable research has focused on the economic consequences of top management team (TMT) stability, the impact and mechanisms of TMT stability on corporate green innovation performance have not been sufficiently examined. Based on data from companies listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2013 to 2022, this paper empirically analyzes the effect of TMT stability on corporate green innovation performance and tests the moderating role of executives’ green experience. The research results indicate that TMT stability significantly enhances corporate green innovation performance, and executives’ green experience positively moderates the effect of TMT stability on green innovation performance. By exploring the economic consequences of TMT stability, this paper extends existing research into the field of green innovation performance, enriching the study of the economic outcomes of TMT. It provides important reference value for enhancing corporate green innovation capabilities and promoting the development of green productivity.
