Abstract

The shift from traditional to digital leadership (DL), resulting from mandatory workplace digitalization, presents numerous opportunities. The primary objective of this research is to analyze DL and its influence on gender equality (GE), employee innovative behavior (EIB), and collegiality (CG) among academic staff of selected higher education institutes (HEIs). Data is collected from 200 academic staff members of selected universities in Uttarakhand, India. The authors utilized SPSS statistics software to analyze the data and test the formulated hypotheses. The authors applied the Whitney U-Test to identify any gender-related differences in responses and the Kruskal-Wallis H tests to evaluate the influence of respondents’ demographic data on their responses to the correlation between GE, DL, CG, and EIB. The results reveal that apart from item ‘GE’ there were no significant differences in respondents’ perception of DL. Furthermore, there is no gender or demographic influence on the respondent’s perception of the correlation between all these elements of workplace dynamics.
