Different roles of AI Technological Practices on Corporate citizenship

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been recognized as a new manufacturing paradigm, but what is the effects on corporate citizenship is an interesting question by researchers without empirical studies. In this research, three different AI technological practices (product customization, process automation and process flexibility) are chosen to study the different role of AI technological practices on corporate citizenship. based on a recent survey of 477 Chinese enterprises and linear regression analysis, it is found that there are only strong positive effects of process automation on corporate citizenship, the other two technological practices have no significant impacts on corporate citizenship. Companies should pay more attention on employee development, work cooperation among employees to obtain exact information about the specific customer needs, this information is quite important for AI practices. So, we believe AI technological advancement and innovative culture are more important in future.
