Abstract

Digital transformation plays a significant role in fostering technological innovation for enterprises, and has become the primary path for manufacturing enterprises to achieve technological breakthroughs. This paper utilizes the unbalanced panel data of Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2013 to 2022 to study the impact of digital transformation on the technological innovation of manufacturing enterprises and its mechanism. The research finds that digital transformation can promote technological innovation for manufacturing enterprises; the mechanism test shows that digital transformation promotes enterprise technological innovation through factor synergy; the heterogeneity analysis indicates that the driving effect of digital transformation on technological innovation in the eastern region and technology-intensive enterprises is more significant.
