Abstract

Such a study gives an insight to the extent that such hospitality law awareness is among the employees in the lodging sectors. With the complexity of laws governing the hospitality industry, employees must know the do’s and don’ts in promoting obedience and excellence in providing service. This study uses mixed methods, combining questionnaires and interviews that would determine knowledge levels of different employees on specific legal concepts, such as health and safety regulations, discrimination laws, guest rights, among others. The outcome of the survey is the identification of serious gaps in legal knowledge and how these might have implications for job performance and risk management. The study addresses the reason why employee training should be given as an importance milestone in helping ensure that employees acquire all the authorized information needed for effective service delivery and increased workplace compliance. Industry players are also given recommendations.
