Abstract

This paper explores the issue of improving project management efficiency in highway renovation and expansion projects based on BIM technology. The article begins by introducing BIM technology and its application context in highway renovation and expansion projects. It then provides a detailed analysis of the implementation process of BIM in highway projects, the challenges faced, and the strategies for addressing these challenges. Through extensive theoretical analysis, the paper demonstrates the significant role of BIM in enhancing overall project management efficiency and quality. This study offers new perspectives and methodologies for the information-based management of highway projects and provides valuable insights for the broader and deeper application of BIM technology in the Chinese construction industry.
