A Business Mode and Market Value Analysis of NetEase

Abstract

This project aims to make a specific analysis of the business strategies and estimates the value of NetEase. NetEase is an advance online gaming company that has grown rapidly and expand its firms overseas making great result. This thesis will firstly introduce the background and the current situation of NetEase, then recommend the main business of NetEase, Online Games, separately, figuring out the profitability of it. Secondly, the author uses economic tools to project the financial situation and capital structure of NetEase, it turns out that NetEase is belong to equity financing. After that, the research finds out a group of competitors which have similar business and market customers with NetEase and searches & lists the financial data of each firm. Finally, the author uses P/E ratio test to estimate the value of NetEase, the multiple is the Price dividing the EPS it turns out the fact that the stock price of NetEase is undervalued.
