Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of the Group Investigation (GI) learning model on the outcomes of Pancasila education, which serves as Indonesia’s national ideology. This research follows a quantitative approach using an Experimental Design with a Group Pretest-Posttest model. The study population consists of Affirmation students from Bali State Polytechnic for the academic year 2022/2023. Data collection involved test instruments, specifically questions evaluating students’ conceptual understanding, with tested validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive and statistical methods. The students’ conceptual understanding was measured using the N-Gain formula. A t-test of 0.05 significance level was used to compare the N-Gain between the experimental and control groups, after checking for normality and homogeneity of data variance. The results showed t-count = 1.143 > t-table = 0.055, leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Group Investigation (GI) cooperative learning model has a positive effect on improving concept comprehension among students in the Tourism Department at Politeknik Negeri Bali, as evaluated through performance assessments.
