Abstract

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A), as an important means of promoting strategic transformation and achieving economies of scale for enterprises, play an irreplaceable role in improving the quality of listed companies. Affected by the severe and complex international environment and the escalation of geopolitical conflicts, and other factors beyond expectations, the downward pressure on the world economy is gradually increasing, and global M&A activities have experienced significant fluctuations. This article analyzes the situation and basic characteristics of M&A of the Global Top 500 companies, and on this basis, proposes relevant insights and suggestions for the development of Chinese enterprises.
