Abstract

Based on data from 41 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2011 to 2021, this paper constructs an evaluation index system and employs the entropy method to measure the development level of digital trade in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration. It finds that, with Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang at its core, a highly interconnected digital economic ecosystem has been formed, with enormous potential for the development of digital trade. However, issues such as infrastructure disparities and unbalanced regional development still exist. Based on these findings, the study concludes with recommendations for promoting the development of digital trade in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, providing policy references for further advancing regional economic development.
