Abstract

The research aims to analyze the influence of food prices on the development of inflation in Pangkalpinang. Analysis of the influence of food prices on the development of inflation is needed to evaluate changes in food prices that cause and contribute to inflation. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression. The data used in the multiple linear regression analysis is secondary data on food prices, namely the prices of rice, chicken meat, beef, chicken eggs, onions, garlic, red chilies, cayenne peppers, cooking oil, granulated sugar, and inflation for the period January 2022 to September 2023. The results of the analysis show that the food ingredient variables that have a significant effect are shallots, rice, garlic, beef, red chilies, cayenne pepper, and chicken eggs. Food items such as rice, garlic, cayenne pepper, and beef have a positive effect on inflation.
