Abstract

As a quasi-natural experiment, the pilot of “Promoting the Integration of Science, Technology and Finance” was implemented in 2011 and 2016 respectively. Based on the panel data of 276 cities from 2006 to 2019, this paper builds a comprehensive evaluation index system for high-quality economic development (HQED) from the five dimensions of innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing, and uses the entropy weight method to obtain a comprehensive score of HQED. Finally, the multi-phase DID method is used to systematically evaluate the impact of the policy on HQED.
