The Market Analysis for BYD

Abstract

The article first introduces the current situation of BYD, including current market value, various fields involved in BYD (automobile, batteries, electronics) and some awards BYD have had. Second, the article uses a lot of important financial data, such as D/E ratio, asset beta, return on asset, to analyze BYD’s current financial situation, and also makes a comparative analysis with Tesla and Mercedes-Benz. Then, the article also uses the SWOT analysis method to study BYD from four major perspectives (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat). With the help of SWOT, there will be a deeper understanding of BYD’s auto industry. Finally, the article also examines the risks, challenges and sources of them that BYD faces. Such as the dependence on chip technology and the impact of Covid-19. There are still lots of potential danger that BYD needs to consider and solve. In this way, the understanding of BYD’s business market model can be revealed better.
