Abstract

From the beginnings of humankind to the present day, no society is free from crises, troubles, or wars. Conflicts are so much a part of every intersubjectivity that it would not be an exaggeration to say that the history of mankind corresponds to the history of arms. However, if the propensity for conflict appears to be connected with human nature, it is nevertheless true that man, this animal gifted with reason, is able to distance himself from it. But how? Through education. This, at least, is the method that Goethe and Steiner both individually propose as the ultimate means of crisis avoidance and social stability. Today, their educational programs could thus contribute to discourses on integration and peace in the world and particularly in Africa.
