Causes of Losses in Supply Chains

Abstract

Supply chains operating in the turbulent and extreme economic conditions, are exposed to many challenges. Changes in financial markets and political turbulence, sociocultural, and finally the growing requirements of consumers become the cause of unexpected distortions. In turn, it promotes the occurrence of loss. These affect both individual entrepreneurs, as well as the entire network of cooperating organizations. The aim of the paper is to present the causes of and possible places of losses in the supply chain and taking into account the subsequent coming into its component cells.
