Abstract

This chapter deals with attempts by the NAM to improve the appeal of ‘free enterprise’, largely as a response to the rising challenge of the corporate liberals, who were quick to undertake advanced studies of the war and peace aims. The NAM eventually embraced in 1942 the need to urgently begin post-war studies.
