Abstract

In this chapter, I will review the immediate aftermath of twentieth century Danish Capitalism, as well as allude to possible coming changes. The chapter starts by examining the economic state two decades after the turn of the century. From here the chapter will—shorty—explain main events and changes the relation to the twentieth century. I have also chosen to highlight some thematic issues of note. The twentieth century was largely a national success, but the success could potentially have been larger. Furthermore, as business is increasingly globally orientated, but Danish politics increasingly nationally orientated, the balance between state and market is likely more strained in the future than in the last two centuries.
