Abstract

The idea of employees sharing in the business’s success is not entirely new. In the 1930s at least — and perhaps even earlier — there was evidence of profit sharing. In the 1950s in Germany and other countries there were many noteworthy models of employee participation, both in the profit and in the equity of the business.
