Abstract

The relevance of Keynes (Attualità di Keynes) is the title of a book that Fausto Vicarelli edited in 1983, containing papers dedicated by leading Italian and non-Italian scholars to Federico Caffè at a conference held in Rome. Fausto arrived at Keynes by a complex path starting out from quite different interests. He was moved by a powerful ethical tension to envision and to try to unravel the essential problems of economics — those having importance for the present state of our society and, above all, for its future.
