Abstract

Look around you. What is the Europe of today like? Is it what you expected a decade ago? How is it different? Do you think that Europe is moving towards a closer union? If it is, do you think this movement will be beneficial to your standard of living? Do you want a closer union? Do you think that this process of a move to a closer union will accelerate over the next decade? What factors do you think will shape Europe’s future development? What do you think Europe will look like in 2010? These questions are important, because Europe now stands at a crucial junction in its history, largely because of the victory of market forces over regulation.
