Abstract

Essentially management is concerned with two basic decision types: strategic decisions concern the long term application of resources and will involve further decisions concerning the raising of funds, while the short term is concerned with operational decisions and these typically concern the adjustment or redeployment of in-use resources. This chapter considers the issues and activities involved in the implementation process. Of particular interest is the use of shopping missions and customer purchasing behaviour for developing a focus for the implementation activity.
