The Profit-seekers

Abstract

One of the distinguishing features of capitalism, as we have just noted: is its instability. Another is the paradox of deprived people co-existing with unsaleable goods. A third is its cumulative concentration of productive power in giant corporations. This is not a new phenomenon — the Anti-Trust Act was passed in the United States in 1890, promoted by John Sherman, a Republican senator.
