New Technology in the Office

Abstract

Many companies are now using computers to assist them in business activities. The requirements of a business will vary depending on the type of work it carries out and its size. It is unlikely that the needs of an individual trader will bear much resemblance to those of a larger organisation like British Coal. However, there is a vast range of both hardware and software available to meet these differing needs. Hardware is the name given to the parts of a computer syatem that can be seen and touched. Software is the computer program, the instructions that tell the computer what to do.
